Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on Friday picked up the endorsement of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, a group that had not previously endorsed a presidential candidate in its nearly 15-year history. In a statement, Chance Mitchell, the organization’s co-founder and chief executive, said the community had “come too far to lose our seat at the table” and called Clinton “the progressive champion our businesses and our families need to thrive.”
