This article relates to Chapter Six Religion by showing the characteristics or traits of Islam. I liked this topic on religion because I learned the difference between universalizing and ethnic religion.

"Being Queer, Feeling Muslim" relates to our chapter about religion because in our chapter, it discusses how in certain religions the homosexuals are punished and in this article, it talks about how queer Muslims are constantly asking themselves if they are sinners or not. In my opinion, I think it is important to learn about others religion to get a better understanding of them and the way they worship.

Many members of the LGBT community have been affected by religion all over the world... Whether it is believing or not. This article relates to AP human geography because it deals with religion. I think this article gives some light into the gay community. In many religions homosexuality is seen as a sin, While in many others it is controversial. While many are still searching for who they are they are discovering the parts of their religion dealing with homosexuality as well.
